Technology

One of the key environmental challenges is the safe disposal of waste. Today, incineration is the leading waste management option. The technology is based on controlled combustion of waste under the high temperatures in a special plant, incinerator, equipped with multi-stage flue gas cleaning system.

The main types of incinerator furnace are hearth, cyclon reactor and rotary kiln. These plants are capable of handling virtually all types of waste.  Hearth furnace is used for solid waste, liquid waste and wastewater, industrial waste (including sludge), as well as for disposal of medical and biological waste. The cyclone reactor for disposal of liquid and gaseous wastes. The rotary kiln is used for the destruction of municipal solid and pasty waste, old railway sleepers.

Environmentally friendly disposal of waste is a complex process. Safe Technologies took into account all the factors affecting the combustion process, and created a technology that ensures environmental safety:

  • Only 5% of ash is left after waste thermal treatment process
  • The gaseous products are sent to afterburner chamber, which ensures the dioxin destruction generated during the incineration
  • The heat of the process is converted into hot water, steam or electricity used on a site or marketable
  • The entire process including waste feeding is fully automated and often does not require personnel involvement
